Yes, the Colonel Sanders of KFC! In 1985, the team won the Japan Championship Series. A group of zealous fans threw a store front statue of the Colonel into the Dontonbori River. The team has appeared in the 2003, 2005 and 2014 Japan Series and has lost all three times. Is the curse real? You be the judge.
